2012 CHECKING PROGRAMS

This program has been designed to teach the young hockey player how to give a check and receive a check; how to use the boards when hitting or being hit; how to control the puck in physical situations; how to protect themselves if hit from behind; and last but not least, that checking is a simple art of using angles to seperate the player from the puck.

IF A PLAYER ISN'T TAUGHT CORRECT CHECKING TECHNIQUES EARLY IN THEIR PLAYING CAREER, IT MAY AFFECT THE WAY HE VIEWS THE GAME FOREVER.

Seperation
Body & Puck Positioning

Each session consists of two 75 minute blocks.

No more than 24 players per session.

Players will be divided into two groups and will be paired up according to size and ability.
